Attorney José Antonio Ramírez is a born and raised Texas native, as he has lived, learned, and worked in the Lone Star state since growing up in his hometown of Brownsville, Texas. His career path into personal injury law started during his educational journey, when he attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from UIW in 2010 with his dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degrees, he began to chase his legal career head-on by seeking work experience before attending law school. José served as a Moreno/Rangel Legislative Fellow, a professional leadership program dedicated to providing first-hand legislative experience for Latino students in Texas. From this experience, he was able to then serve as Legislative Assistant in the Texas House of Representatives.
Before returning back to school, José served as a Legislative Assistant in a handful of organizations, including the Mexican American Legislative Caucus and the Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation. He also held the position of Deputy Director for a Houston-based civic engagement non-profit.
With his dedicated work ethic and passion for law, José pursued his law degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law as a full-time student while also clerking for a San Antonio personal injury law firm. While working day and night to further his education at school and learn all he could about personal injury law at work, José’s work ethic pushed him to graduate with his law degree.
As can be seen throughout his life, José is dedicated to everything he takes on. He aims to continue furthering his law career as he serves the injured individuals that deserve justice in his Texas community.
